Suspended Motion was an exhibit featuring skaters Ben Borretto, Cam Campbell, Morgan Campbell, Jason Hansma, James Hensby, Tom Muller, and Jack Pam. My process involved documenting paper being towed, torn, and marked by skateboarders. This material eventually became a sculpture based on a single ribbon of paper folded in on itself.
The ramp was filmed being skated in the gallery, allowing viewers to sit inside it and experience the filmed session firsthand. Seeing the marks created afterward added a real connection to the space. Alongside the ramp, the process video "Paper" was displayed.
